Wow, it's been a busy couple weeks here at Daniel Dunn Photo. The Breck Epic bike race happened here last week, it's a 6 stage mt. bike race. Racers come from around the world to compete in this race that touts itself as being all about the singletrack. And it is. You can register for next year's Breck Epic, and get some very cool eary registration schwag.
So, I was out there every day, running around the mountains, drinking coffee, chasing down crazy fast mt bike racers. It was totally aweseome and I loved every minute of it. You might think getting up at the crack of dawn, going on a caffeine overload, strapping on a 35 pound pack, and running up a mountain side, to maybe get one good shot of a skinny racer in spandex is a bit crazy. I think it's the only thing I want to do with the rest of my life.
I got a TON of good exposure this week, and my photos ended up being in a lot of cool places. I'm really excited about it, and hope you are too. Things are going almost too well right now for me, and I want to extend many thanks to all family and friends who have stood by me over the years and encouraged me to keep going, keep searching. Or maybe they were just encouraging me to just be able to pay the mortgage so they would have a place to stay in the mountains. Hah, maybe a mix of both.
