Three Sisters, Arches National Park, Moab, UT (D50)

There’s a lot going on right now in the world of DD. I have a new logo, I have a new business name, and have a new website address. I’ll be sharing that info with you in the very near future. I also started doing a bit of spring traveling, went out to Moab last week, and will head back there this weekend. I really wasn’t in Moab, and I spent the entire couple days in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, shooting my brains out. I didn’t even take my bike, the first time in 12 years that I’ve been going to Moab, that I did that. Wow!

So, lots of goodies to come. But I did want to share a photo with you. This is fairly close to the entrance of Arches NP. It’s basically the backside of the Wall St. area. Probably about two miles from the main entrance. The Three Sisters are on the left hand side of this photo, and I think the Organ is in there as well, I’m just not sure where. I loved the sky in this shot, that’s why I took it. It was totally mid afternoon, and I knew I would be converting to black & white, so I wasn’t overly concerned about the really tricky exposure. Hah, I was just excited to be shooting in Moab.

Going back this weekend with a brand new camera, the Canon 5D Mark III. I’m so damn excited to be using it. I have one thing in mind-very large prints. I love it! Hope you enjoy this shot.
